Art Therapy

Art therapy is a wonderful way of using images to work through issues. Both children and adults can use this modality.

Similar to sandtray therapy, artwork allows you to process issues when you do not have the words to describe the situation. Also, using images involves parts of the brain that talking alone does not activate (light up); therefore, artwork and counseling together may lead to a more complete sense of resolving an issue and healing.

In my office, I have many art supplies, or you can bring in your own if you prefer. I have pastels, markers, crayons, colored pencils, collage materials, clay, etc.
