Sandtray Therapy

Sandtray therapy can be a useful way of working through issues, especially if you do not have the exact words to describe the dilemma, conflict, or problem that you are experiencing. Sometimes the visual image in the sandtray or the process of creating the image helps clarify the situation, in a way that talking alone does not do. Also, using images involves parts of the brain that talking alone does not activate; therefore, it can lead to a more complete sense of resolving an issue and healing.

For those new to sandtray therapy, you arrange figures in the sandtray to depict an image or story. You can talk while arranging the figures or create the image in silence.
