Most of my website is geared toward adults, but I wanted to create a page that is specific to individual adult therapy.

Sometimes, problems start when we are adults. Other times, current problems are linked to childhood trauma, in which case resolving past trauma can be helpful. Exploring how current beliefs are contributing to the problem and becoming more mindful in the present moment can be helpful too.
I encourage people to heal from past difficulties, live in the present, explore their options, find solutions, and feel empowered in their own lives.
Young Adults
For young adults (& older adults), there are the challenges of figuring out who you are and how you want to live your life. I enjoy helping people find out more about themselves and their options.
The transition from being a teen to becoming an independent adult can be challenging.
Work/Life Balance
Creating and maintaining a balance between work and home life can be difficult, especially here in Sunnyvale and the rest of Silicon Valley. Therapy can help people look at underlying beliefs that lead to working too much. Stress reduction techniques can also help people feel calmer and perhaps more efficient.
Healing from Trauma
I work a lot with people who are healing from traumatic events, such as child abuse, sexual abuse, date rape, neglect, the death of a loved one, and other traumatic or difficult memories. EMDR therapy can be especially helpful for resolving traumatic or difficult memories.
Infertility and Miscarriages
I've worked with many women (and couples) who have experienced infertility and miscarriages. It can be so painful or traumatic. People often struggle with many difficult emotions, as well as negative beliefs. Therapy can help people process their feelings and thoughts and resolve any potential trauma.
EMDR Therapy & Other Therapy Approaches
With adults, I use a blend of approaches.
Guided meditations
These approaches are described on my approaches to therapy page. I think of myself as primarily an EMDR therapist, but I use blend of these approaches.
Open-Minded and Nonjudgmental Therapy
People have told me that I am nonjudgmental and easy to talk to.
Sometimes people are afraid to talk about certain things even with their therapist. I'm happy to discuss sexual problems, infidelity, gender issues, LGBTQ+ issues, kink, polyamory, etc.

My office is in Sunnyvale, California on Wolfe Rd., near El Camino Real (also close to Santa Clara, Cupertino, and Mountain View). Parking is easy; there is a large parking lot.
